- First Great Lakes Expo Coming December 4-6
- The first Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo will feature Orion Samuelson as a banquet speaker, as well as vegetable experts from across the country.
The three-day show is expected to draw nearly 2,500 fruit and vegetable growers as well as farm marketers and will feature over 500 trade show booths in four exhibit halls. It will be held at the Grand Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. Dec. 4-6, 2001.
The Expo banquet featuring Samuelson will take place Wednesday, Dec. 5 in the Ambassador Ballroom of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Samuelson is nationally known for his years of work as a farm radio broadcaster.
The vegetable program includes presentations from a number of speakers from across the country including George Abawi and James Lorbeer, Cornell University; Dr. Ed Kee, University of Delaware; Joe Noling, University of Florida; and Rich Bonanno, University of Massachusetts. There will also be many informative presentations from Michigan State University researchers and Extension staff, in addition to the many production topics that will be covered.
